Our Family Table

I have been looking for a new kitchen table for oh probably a year now...the one we had was given to us and the chairs bought at a yard sale I believe...and maybe even 1 or 2 found on the side of the road with FREE signs. I REALLY wanted a booth style table where you can store things in the benches, but those just always seemed to be pretty pricey even for used. I have randomly been checking Craigslist for said table. Now about 2 weeks ago, my husband became addicted to scouring Craigslist for anything we might need - mostly yard stuff...we have been looking for a shed, bricks for a front porch, wood for a fence or chicken coop...a lot of random things. Well, last night he brought his computer over to me and said look at this table. We both decided that's pretty much what we have been wanting just a little different and its only $75! So I made him call right away, because with other things we have wanted we always seemed to be the second person interested ...so he called and it was still available. The guy said to call back in the morning and he would give J his address. So J called at 7:30 this morning... and then had to take all the seats out of our van, go by the bank, go pick up the table, and get home, unload the table, put the seats back in the van and get ready for church...whew! And we made it (we couldn't miss today because they were doing a drama of the Easter Story in Mr. C's class and it is the highlight of his year). When we got home from church and lunch we finally switched out the tables and the kids are in heaven. It’s so nice and roomy and makes me feel like we live on a farm!!! I know this table will share lots of joy and wonderful family memories with us!
