Phone Dump!!

We are having a very eventful week!! Last weekend we had a fun yard sale...you will see the kids had a lemonade stand in the yard. They had one customer other than their Grammy! We live in a bad neighborhood for having yard sales...even though we did decently; we just didn't have that many people coming by. The kids wanted to give the lemonade away for free...so we thought that was a great idea. (My kiddos are such blessings!) I wish we had more people come by just to see how giving they are! Their one customer tipped them $2.80 for 2 small cups of lemonade!! (they were grandparents- you could tell by the fact that they gave them almost $3 for 2 measly little cups of lemonade!)

We decided to use our yard sale money for fun summer money. We will use it for special outings or day trips- to go hiking, or swimming..or out for ice cream! Which is what we did later that same HOT day! We have a fun little ice cream place in our neighborhood called the Drive-In. They have soft serve and all the fried foods you can imagine!! We stuck with soft serve- Yummmmmmy!!!!

We made our own pizzas for dinner the other night. So.Much.Fun!! The kids had a blast putting them together and waiting patiently while they baked... then of course eating them!

My cousin Renee came to visit this week!! She has known me longer then any other friend - she is always a blast to be around but she is such a busy lady- she is a Dr....but not just any Dr...a missionary Dr. ... she is great at what she does and is so appreciated! She lives in Honduras but has been in the states for a couple months and decided to swing by before heading back home- AND to pick up her mail! We are so glad she did! We went on a short hike in Rock Ledge Ranch. (a historical site & city park) We made smore's with her and laughed with her! Later that evening just her and I got to go out and get pedicures..first pedicure I have had in 5 years!! As we were leaving, Sadie was crying at the front door...I don't leave without the kids very often! I was sad when Renee had to leave- but I know she will be back! I will have more mail for her to come get!

Pedicures!! This was an adventure! We had cheese graters- karate chop leg massages...and possessed massage chairs..all in all a very fun time!

Now we have more company- Jeff's parents are in town visiting- so I am sure I will be updating with more pictures of summer fun adventures!

Phone Dump!

We have already been having a really fun summer break! We have tried to get out and do some things and just have a fun relaxing time at home.

The library was having a summer kick-off for their reading program last Friday; they had a clown of sorts there doing tricks and being funny. Mr. C laughed so hard he had me in tears laughing at him being so tickled by all the funny things the guy was doing. I was so happy we decided to go- even though big crowd events are a bit out of my comfort zone. One of Miss. S's preschool friends was there so she came and sat by Miss S. and they had a grand time watching the show. We just signed up for the reading program on Friday and Mr. C has just about completed everything but the extra credit. He LOVES to read...he is currently enjoying Encyclopedia Brown books!!  Miss H has been doing some reading too..but not quite as diligently!

COLORING! All 3 kids are super into coloring right now- we had to go to the $Tree to buy more coloring books because all the girl ones were completely filled- and now we have almost 2 more that are completely filled so I am sure we will be buying more soon! They will sit and color for hours literally! Miss H is getting to be such a good colorer (is this a word??)  and I think it is her goal to be the best!!
We made a trip to Lowes the other night- and what trip to Lowes would be complete without sitting on riding lawnmowers!!! Its a a MUST for these kids!! They also have spent quite a bit of time practicing putting their heads in the water in the bathtub! Mr. C needs lots of practice- he has no rhyme or reason as to why he is scared- he just is. He did a great job at his last lesson with the floating though!

Not sure why the Strawberry Shortcake character has bleeding eyes...a bit disturbing!

We hit up YoYogurt on Memorial Day and boy was it yummy!!! We will be visiting them A LOT this summer!!

And lastly we enjoyed a fun Friday night pizza dinner at our favorite pizza place Fargos! We all love going there- the kids always have a blast.

Mr. C played his very first coin operated video game while there!! He couldn't understand why it didn't last very long- I love the innocence!

Phone Dump!!

Some recent photos of the kiddos!!! Miss S's flip flops broke the other day and yesterday she INSISTED I take her to the mall to get her new sparkly ones...I said, "can we go to Target?" (much closer) She said," No..THE MALL!!" So off we went to the Children's Place to buy some new flip flops- seen in the picture below. After that we went to what my kids call the silly store- its a game store. She needed to play with the car on the track. She played with it for a minute and some big boys came up and one who was probably 8 or 9 looked like he was going to yank it from her hand but didn't. He then asked me if she was playing with it (she was obviously playing with it, so this was a lame question) I said yes she is. And he walked away. Then his brother (maybe 7) walked up to her and put his hand out like he was going to take the car from her and then looked at me and walked away. I was all ready to yank it from his hand if he had taken it from her. And I must clarify she had just started playing with it, we were in no way hogging the toy. The whole situation had me appalled because their parents were standing right there and my child is obviously much smaller then them. OK. Rant over. Other then that we had a pleasant time at the mall. Yesterday morning I woke up to her peacefully sleeping next to me and had to snap a picture!! And we took a walk last night..she seemed so big to me!! And she should cause she is going into Pre-K!!! **tear**

We have been enjoying the nice warm weather of our early summer already. The kids have enjoyed playing in the water a lot! We borrowed a small pool from my parents that the big kids wanted to practice putting their faces in the water in. They hadn't taken into account how cold it was going to be. They were all equipped with their goggles but couldn't get it done- they tried though!

And we have made a few too many trips to this place for their Happy Hour- Its my new Starbucks!! You can't beat half price slushies and sodas!!

Miss H has become our chicken whisperer....she loves spending time outside with them. This is where I found her one day last week. I think she had Oreo in a trance, she was all sprawled out on Miss H so relaxed from all the petting!

Just so you know we are normal people... here we have a classic scene from our morning's for the summer....dry cereal on the living room floor and staring at the TV!!! HAPPY SUMMER!!!

Phone Dump!

I think I will no longer call this Friday phone dump- cause well I can't ever get them on here on Fridays!!

We had a fun week! School was back in session after a lovely, fun filled Spring Break...on Tuesday however Mr. J had a snow day and got to stay home with us!! (We like it when he is home!)
Highlight of  my week has been to be able to send the kids out back to play without me with them at all times because we now have a 6ft fence around our yard! I try to stay in the kitchen where I can still see them out the window though. They have enjoyed this freedom as much as I have!

We are enjoying our chickens so much!!! The kids are loving having them as pets. (yes I said pets!!)
They make us laugh all the time, and we enjoy opening their coop and letting them out in their run every morning. When we had wind/snow beginning of the week, we had to staple some trash bags over their windows to keep them warm. I worried about them way more then I should have, but thats just me!!

Side Note:
I was recently diagnosed with Hypothyroidism - I knew something was wrong with me as I have been struggling with life in a few areas. After 3 blood tests it was confirmed I have Hypothyroid. I will be on meds the rest of my life most likely. I have to go in for blood work every 4 weeks to make sure my levels are normal and my meds are at the right dosage. After 5 weeks on them I can tell a difference in how I feel & act. Its great to feel normal again. Plus I didn't realize I was feeling so bad, till I finally felt good again!

Phone Dump for the last 2 weeks!!!

We have been on Spring Break and I got lazy- so here are a bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks. 

 

We have had awesome weather the last 2-3 weeks, so we have been taking advantage of it!! We took a trip to YoYogurt, played outside and took a walk. The kids really enjoyed rocking out to music at YoYogurt.

The kids made a hot-air balloon for box car night at Awana's and enjoyed sitting inside it while watching a movie. The girls have had fun playing beauty shop- they are bff's and really enjoying playing girly things together!! I made a new spring wreath that I saw on pintrest last weekend! Thanks to my MIL for buying the supplies and motivating me to actually do it!! It was so fun & easy! Went on a date yesterday with Mr. C and had a yummy lunch at Drifters, as well as bought him lots of new spring clothes!! Miss S & I went to the grocery store this morning and she HAD to ride on the penny horsey ride..its a must! She has been my shadow the last 24 hours ever since she had an incident!(next post)  So I couldn't go without her! I love my kiddos so much!!! I am a super over-protective mama, but I love these babies more then life itself and I will do anything to make sure they are safe and loved!!!

Friday Phone Dump!!

Miss H & I baked a cake in her Easy Bake Oven!! And they have been SUPER into Lincoln Logs this week...they have had a log town going on big time!! And when we drop Miss S off at Preschool..they act like they need to be at preschool too!!!

We like to get the chicks out one at a time and play with them...this is Oreo, she is our very sweet, timid one and the easiest and friendliest so we get her out more then the others. They are all starting to get their real feathers now- its been so fun to see them grow each day!!

Friday Phone Dump!

Well I missed last Friday's phone dump- so here are pics from the last 2 weeks. We went out for Ice Cream, went to a birthday party for one of Miss S's  friends, went to Lowes, Drifters, had guitar lessons...LOTS and LOTS of fun!!! Miss H is loving to read the American Girl books, we found the Kit book at Goodwill & she got the Ruthie book with her doll- I love how much my kiddos are into reading! And I love homeschooling; cause how cool is it to do your school work on the brand spankin new comfy couch!!! Miss S got a new outfit last weekend so she needed to wear it to church and get her picture taken..cause she is adorable like that! ENJOY!

This is not a picture from my phone, but from my sister in laws...This little guy is my new little nephew that was born this week!!! His name is Mr. T!!!

Friday Phone Dump

We had a very busy week this week!! We celebrated the day of love by eating heart pancakes, making Valentines for each other, having a little family party at Starbucks, Miss H had piano lessons, and we relaxed the rest of the day! Oh how I love my family and getting to spend every sweet moment of life with them! The kids have played so well together this week. One of my favorite things lately is while I am working out they come and play games together downstairs. Even though they are brother and sister, Mr. C and Miss H are best friends and really do enjoy playing together often. Makes a mama's heart happy. Enjoy the pictures!

Friday Phone Dump!!

 

The kiddos had fun entertaining themselves when I was sick & our basketball practice was back on this week with nicer weather!  Miss S got a haircut & Miss H and I went on a Birthday date ...fun times were had by all!!! Oh and notice Miss S with her Bible in hand that she fell asleep reading! Makes a mama proud!
