Sadie turns 12

 This year was our no party year for the bigger kids, which worked out great because life was crazy with two little people around all the time. Hallie was really into baking last year as well, so she made Sadie a beautiful Barbie cake for her birthday. It was liked by everyone. Sadie also got a special birthstone ring from my mom for her birthday. They share a birth month, so Grammy had saved it for her for quite a while. We didn't do anything super exciting but we did spend time together and have a special dinner, cake and presents. We made memories for sure!

Henry turns SIX!

I have to laugh that I'm writing about Henry's sixth birthday when he's turning seven today. Just slightly behind, a little. We had so much fun for Henry's 6th birthday. On his actual birthday we went to the pumpkin patch and then enjoyed a family part that night. Grammy & Papa and our immediate family were in attendance. The following week we loaded up and went to Great Wolf Lodge for a night to enjoy the water park and all the fun that goes along with GWL. I always keep my eye out for their great deals they run. With such a large family, we need one of their biggest rooms,  so if we were to pay full price it would be a few hundred dollars. We are NOT wealthy people, complete opposite. We do however like to plan ahead and save our pennies so we can do fun things like this as a family every so often. Finding good deals is something of a hobby of mine as well; so we make it happen. And the kids have a BLAST! Enjoy the pictures of my little mister's birthday and our fun visit to GWL.

Big Brother is 12!!

We had a very low key birthday for our first born. That same day we were closing on our house re-finance, then we went to dinner in town before coming home and having cookies and opening presents. Everyone had a good time and had fun celebrating. I cannot believe he is 12 already, it seems like just yesterday we found out that we were expecting him, he was such a surprise blessing for us and continues to be a blessing for our family. We couldn't have asked for a better kiddo to start out our family. The day after his birthday we decided on a whim to get a couple baby ducks..they were actually hatched on his birthday. The kids named them Donald and Daisy and they have been pretty fun to have around. As soon as the weather warms up a bit and they get a little bigger we can move them from the garage to outside by our chickens.
